![]() CAMPAIGN IN PAJACUARAN!! April 2007 Pajacuaran, (pah-hah-kwah-RON) in the state of Michoacan, is a county seat on the edge of Jalisco, not far from La Barca. The population of the county is 20,000, and the only evangelical church in the entire county is in the town of La Luz, not in the major city, Pajacuaran.
The church in Jiquilpan, together with the church in La Luz, is sponsoring an outreach the first week in April. The churches in Briseño, Atotonilco, La Barca, Arandas, San Jose and Santa Maria have been invited to participate. Each morning there will be a time of Bible teaching and prayer at the hotel rented for the event. In the afternoon there will be house to house evangelism and the opportunity to visit the plazas to engage people in conversation and distribute literature. The week of the campaign is the time the town celebrates Holy Week with a local passion play mixed with prehispanic traditions. Because of all the town celebration, the local government has denied us any permits for any outdoor activities. No preaching, no mime, no concerts, no public events of any sort outdoors. However… The church in Jiquilpan has rented the local theater, where we plan to offer concerts, Christian films, dramas and more. The public address system atop the theater, as well as the personal contact throughout the town, will be used to draw people into the events. The goal is to see a church raised up in this city. This will not happen without intercession. We need your help!
